What a visit includes
A standard visit is a cut at a height that suits the grass, edges along paths and garden beds, and whipper snipping around fences, trees and posts. Clippings stay on the lawn unless you've also asked for green waste removal. We clear clippings off paths and other hard surfaces before we leave.
Mention anything we should work around: pop-up sprinklers, a clothesline, pets, or a gate that needs to stay shut. If the first cut is a long one, the quote reflects the extra time rather than a regular visit.
A gap that fits the season
Lawns in Melbourne's outer east usually put on strong growth in late spring, and after summer rain, and then slow down through winter. A shorter gap in the warm months stops the lawn getting away. In winter, many places are fine with more time between cuts.
There's no single schedule that suits every yard. After we've seen how yours grows, we'll suggest a rhythm, and you can lengthen or shorten it later.

Questions about lawn mowing
Do you edge and whipper snip?
Yes. Edges and whipper snipping are part of a normal mow unless we agree a smaller job. If you only want the lawn cut, say so and we'll quote that.
Can you mow a lawn that has got very long?
Often, yes. The first visit takes longer, and the price covers that. Photos of the whole lawn, including the narrow parts down the side, help us judge it. If it needs a garden tidy-up as well, we'll say so before you book.
Will you mow when the lawn is wet?
Light dew is usually fine. If the ground is saturated we'll rearrange the visit so we don't rut the lawn or leave a mess of wet clippings. We'll let you know rather than pushing on.
